CACAO CEREMONY
Heart Opening • Community • Ritual • Seasonal Alignment Invitation to the Heart We gather in small circles (8-10 people) to commune with Mother Cacao-- a gentle yet powerful plant ally known for opening the heart, softening defenses, and grounding us in embodied presence. Although cacao is a gentle medicine, she is a potent catalyst. She relaxes the body, quiets the mind, and offers an earthy, sensuous experience of connection. Many participants feel her beneficial effects for hours — sometimes days — after the ceremony. Seasonal Allignment Each ceremony aligns with a seasonal moment -- Solstice, Equinox, New Moon, or other sacred thresholds. For example, during the Summer Solstice, we gather under the longest day of the year — honoring abundance, vitality, and expansion. We celebrate our inner fire, plant seeds of intention, release what no longer serves, and bask in the warmth of community. During a New Moon, we turn inward — softening into renewal, listening for subtle guidance, and making space for what is emerging. Each gathering is unique, yet rooted in the same spirit of reverence and heartful presence. What to Expect Our Cacao Ceremonies typically include: * Guided meditation or breathwork * Drinking ceremonial cacao * Shamanic drum journey * Brief creative writing * Sharing circle * Voice and Gentle movement Together, these elements soften habitual armour, open the heart, and reconnect us with ourselves and one another. We limit the circle to 10 participants to maintain intimacy and depth. Practical Details Time: 2 pm – 5 pm (Saturday or Sunday) Please arrive 10–15 minutes early so we may begin on time. Location: Downtown Toronto (details will be provided upon registration.) How to Prepare: * Wear comfortable clothing. * Most participants sit on the floor — bring a yoga mat if you would like extra padding. * We provide pillows; bring additional support if needed. Chairs are available. * Bring a journal. * Bring two small offerings for our shared altar: - One representing a dream or intention - One representing something you are ready to release We drink cacao on an empty stomach, so please do not eat after 12 pm. Energy Exchange The offering for the ceremony is $108. Details will follow once you have registered. Please register early — space fills quickly. |
